Over 55,000 singers participated in Sing Up Day around the world. The Primary school celebrated this special day for the first time this year on Wednesday 22nd March. This year, Sing Up Day was all about celebrating uniqueness and letting love shine through and the aim of the song was to celebrate diversity across the world.

Infants 2 Trip to the Lays and Kean Factories

Both Infants 2 classes excitedly strapped themselves safely into their seats of the big school bus, ready for an educative adventure to the Lays and Kean Factories in Limassol, as part of their Topic of ‘Factories’. The children were taken on a very informative learning journey through both factories, where we all observed the interesting processes that both factories go through, from raw product - mountains of potatoes and oranges - to the end product - scrumptious bags of crisp and cartons of fruit juice.

Visit to the Road Safety Park and the Police Dogs Unit, Nicosia.

On the 31st January 2017 the Junior 2 classes visited the Road Safety Park in Nicosia. The visit was organised alongside a safety topic covered in Greek lessons (for natives) and ‘The Hodgeheg’ read in Book Study (for non-natives). The Road Safety Park is located near the Police Headquarters and is a simulation of an urban road network.

Congratulations to all those pupils who took part in the The Grammar School, Nicosia Poetry Competition. This year the theme was “open” so the pupils could write about anything close to their hearts or that inspired their imagination.
