Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is at the heart of school life and plays an important role in supporting pupils’ wellbeing, personal development and academic success. Form Tutors are the first point of contact for pupils and parents, working closely with families to provide guidance and support. They are supported by Heads of Year, who oversee the academic progress, behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and overall wellbeing of pupils within their year groups.

Additional support is also provided through the Wellbeing Team, Learning and Educational Development staff, School Nurses and close collaboration between teachers, pastoral leaders and parents.

The School also places strong emphasis on community and pupil engagement through its pastoral initiatives and House System. The Pastoral Coordinator and Shadow Head of Year for Key Stage 3 further strengthen pupil support, helping to promote a positive, inclusive and high-achieving environment. Our thriving House System (Arion, Centaurs, Laelaps and Phoenix) encourages pupils to build relationships across year groups while participating in sporting events, academic challenges and wider school activities throughout the year.

The House System also plays an important role in promoting positive behaviour, teamwork, responsibility and school spirit. In addition, each year group organises a charity event, giving pupils the opportunity to work together to raise funds for the Foley’s School Charities Fund (Reg. No. ΛΕΥ/Α/48) while developing leadership skills and a strong sense of community.
