In today’s ever-changing world, we believe it is of utmost importance to provide young people with a platform to be heard. Many of tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders often struggle to make their voices resonate, and with this goal in mind, we are dedicated to creating a space where their voices can flourish.
Based on the format of TED-style Talks, our TED-Ed Student Talks event, held in the School Auditorium, provides pupils with the opportunity to research, reflect on, and present ideas that matter to them and the wider world. These talks help develop confidence in public speaking, critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills, while encouraging pupils to share their knowledge, creativity, and personal perspectives with an audience.
During the event, several of our Sixth Form pupils make their debut and deliver thought-provoking speeches that reflect their insight, individuality, and unique viewpoints, often highlighting important themes such as self-awareness and personal growth.
