Before entering the Sixth Form, which is a two-year form, pupils discuss their AS and A level options in relation to career intentions and prospects with the School’s Careers Team. They are given advice on requirements for degree courses that they may be considering or for other tertiary options, and/or for postschool career prospects, as relevant. Parents are, of course, involved. The vast majority of our pupils enter degree courses on leaving school.
At present, most good universities will require three good A level grades for entry. The majority of our pupils will be following a fourth subject to AS or A level and some universities may indeed require a fourth subject to at least AS level.
