Science

Science at Foley’s is hands-on, investigative and designed to spark curiosity. Across the School, there is a strong emphasis on practical experiments, exploration and discovery, helping pupils develop confidence in asking questions, testing ideas and understanding the world around them.

In the Primary School, pupils learn in a well-resourced, laboratory-style classroom, where early investigative skills are nurtured through exciting, age-appropriate experiments. In the Secondary School, pupils benefit from five fully equipped science laboratories and a large preparation room, ensuring that they have access to high-quality facilities as their studies become more specialised. At IGCSE and A Level, Biology, Chemistry and Physics are taught separately by subject specialists, allowing pupils to dive deeper into each discipline.

We are especially proud of our Primary pupils’ achievements in the European CLEAPSS Science Awards, where they achieved 1st place overall in Europe, alongside multiple age-group successes – a testament to their enthusiasm, creativity, and scientific thinking.

Science at Foley’s inspires pupils to observe, question, experiment and discover, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and a love of exploration.
