Wind in the Willows

This year’s musical production was Wind in the Willows and the three performances took place on 26th, 27th and 28th March.Auditions took place during the first week back after the Christmas holidays and then it was full steam ahead to get “Wind in the Willows” ready for staging in late March. Rehearsals were fitted in where possible – why is it that budding actors also do everything else at Foley’s too!?Meanwhile, Mr Andy was busy perfecting the music with his band (he wrote the music himself!), Miss Smylie built the beautiful willow tree and painted away whilst Mrs Bailey gathered her dancers and practiced their moves. Mrs Cleaver and I went shopping…. to local charity shops and found some amazing bargains…. and costumes too! In short, a busy time was had by all.The photos only begin to do the production justice and we hope that, if you were in the audience, you enjoyed this quintessential English play as much as we did whilst we were preparing and performing it. It takes extraordinary commitment on the pupils’ behalf to undertake a musical like this one. Congratulations to each and every one of the cast, band, lighting, back stage, set design and painting crews.
