Proceeds raised are donated to ‘One Dream, One Wish’, a charity supporting children with cancer and related diseases.

Wonder no more! The Sixth Form biology students are doing all of the above, thanks to a nifty machine – the miniPCR.

Oleastro Olive Park and Museum Trip

On Thursday 3rd November, we visited the wonderful Oleastro Olive Park and Museum for our Topic work on Cyprus. When visiting the Park and Museum, we were able to see how an olive mill works to press olives and extract the olive oil that we use at home. We also got to try different types of olives, olive spread and delicious olive oil made from the mill.

A fantastic new addition to our Primary School playground are our two new ‘Wow Word’ walls. These are used for a variety of activities which aim to challenge the children’s literacy skills and increase their vocabulary. J3G couldn’t wait to get started and have been out for their writing lesson to research words that they didn’t know the meaning of!

Young Enterprise for Prep pupils

This year we are undertaking the Young Enterprise scheme with pupils in the Prep classes, in order to develop their skills as potential future entrepreneurs! The pupils have embarked upon a rolling programme of projects that will enable them to develop their leadership skills, as they each resume responsibility of their group at some point over the year. By working on these projects, the pupils will develop critical life skills in cooperative working, strategic thinking, problem-solving, financial management, advertising and marketing.

It is a particularly exciting start to the school year, as we look forward to welcoming the Primary School pupils to their fantastic new premises. External Exam Results 2016 (Provisional)

Congratulations to our pupils on their success in this year’s external examination session. The IGCSE/GCSE results this year are a new school record, with 85% of entries achieving A*/A (61% A*), and 99% A* - C. 17 of the 26 pupils sitting IGCSE/GCSEs gained 5 A*s or more. At A level the pass rate (A-E) was 100%, with 58% achieving A*/A grades and 93% achieving A* - C.
