The Primary School celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book characters and describing them to their class-mates. The children enjoyed a day full of reading activities beginning with an assembly and learning the World Book Day song. They loved making their own books and writing book reports or reviews. They participated in a costume catwalk as well as the DEAR (drop everything and read) initiative. Pre-Reception to Junior 1 used story sacks to identify a variety of traditional tales by looking at props from a story and guessing which story they came from. The Prep children spent time reading with the Pre-Reception children during the afternoon and both year groups thoroughly enjoyed their time together. Miss Grist as Mrs May stole the show!
