Key Stage 5

Before entering the Sixth Form, which is a two-year programme, pupils meet with the School’s Careers Team to discuss their AS and A Level subject choices in relation to their future career interests and aspirations. Guidance is provided on the entry requirements for university degree courses, as well as other tertiary education pathways and career opportunities. Parents are, of course, involved in this important decision-making process.

The vast majority of our pupils progress to university degree courses after completing their studies at school.

Currently, most competitive universities require three strong A Level grades for entry. However, the majority of our pupils study a fourth subject to either AS or A Level, and some universities may require applicants to have completed a fourth subject to at least AS Level.

A level courses begin in the Lower Sixth Form (Year 12) and we offer the following subjects:

English Literature
Mathematics
Further Maths
Chemistry
Biology
Physics
Geography
History
Economics
Art
French
Spanish
Drama
Computer Science
Statistics
Business Studies
Politics
Greek (First Language)
